El Dorado West, located in Burien, Washington, was the vision of the family patriarch, Bill Brown. Founded in 1975, El Dorado West is proudly celebrating more than 30 years in the Burien community. El Dorado West was the first retirement community offering seniors assistance with personal needs. This new concept in retirement living services provided the residents the support they needed to remain independent in their private apartment homes.

Village Concepts remains family owned and locally operated. There are now fifteen Village Concepts communities conveniently located near metropolitan centers throughout northwest Washington.
