Country Meadow Spends the Day at Nate's Place

When Nate arrived to work that rainy Friday morning, we had tentatively made the decision to cancel our annual picnic to his family's place, what we call, "Nate's Place", a private and secluded property filled with lush northwest trees and surrounded by the wonders of nature.

He reminded us that the dining and gathering area was surrounded by old growth cedar and covered by a pavilion made with roughhewn logs from the property. That was all we needed to know, so we forged ahead and went on our adventure.

We’re glad we did because it was a magical afternoon! We listened to the gentle rain on the roof as we watched the colors of the forest magnify tenfold as the ground was busy soaking up the moisture from the much-needed rain. The leaves and branches glistened with the welcomed moisture too. We enjoyed hotdogs barbecued expertly by Nate’s dad Danny, a member of the Washington Old Time Fiddler’s Association that plays at Country Meadow Village every month.

The best part was introducing our newer residents to their first adventure to Nate's place and all the special things about it. We are so grateful Nate and his family continue to share this magical place!
