At High Point Village, the activities calendar is known for its flair — but this time, they really hit the bullseye.
To celebrate National Axe Throwing Day, the community courtyard was transformed into a safe, foam-axe throwing arena, complete with lots of laughter! Residents and staff were paired up for a friendly, light-hearted tournament. The competition was fierce… and mostly hilarious! There was one duo that proved unstoppable: Shelbi, the marketing director with a surprisingly competitive streak, and Shirley with the precision of a retired dart champion — which, it turns out, she actually was. As the crowd cheered them on, Shirley’s steady aim and Shelbi’s encouragement carried them through the rounds. The day ended with plenty of stories about the time the seniors of High Point Village ruled the axe-throwing arena — proof that fun has no age limit.
