At Grandview Village, our Executive Director, Abby, and Maintenance Director, Donovan, delighted residents with a live demonstration of how Lumpia is traditionally rolled and prepared. The highlight for everyone was, of course, the delicious taste testing!
Residents also had the opportunity to discuss Filipino language and customs with Abby. A particular favorite was watching the Tinikling, the national dance of the Philippines. This rhythmic dance features dancers moving gracefully above bamboo poles that are tapped on the ground. We also took a virtual journey through the stunning landscapes, beautiful beaches, lush rainforests, and crystal-clear waters of the Philippines. It was absolutely stunning!
