In light of the recent fires in Eastern Washington, Village Concepts’ retirement and assisted living communities throughout Washington state came together to show their support for the cause through their Village Concepts Cares program.
To raise money for the victims, Spiritwood at Pine Lake Assisted Living in Issaquah hosted a spaghetti dinner for its residents, staff and the community.
The total amount raised was $2,685, which will be donated to the American Red Cross Washington Wildfires fund.
Spiritwood had a surprise visit from four local firefighters from Eastside Fire & Rescue Station 83. The firefighters were welcomed with cheers and applause and lots of “thank yous.”
