Our residents at Village Concepts of Auburn-Brannan Park spent an incredible couple of hours with Little Jack's Learning Center. It began with the graduating class's rehearsal as they move onto kindergarten next year. It included a song sung in Spanish, an entire song in sign language, and brought everyone to tears with "I Am Proud to be an American". Each resident received a handmade flower made from their handprint.
Each child chose a "Grandma" or "Grandpa" to walk with and the group explored their magical fairy garden hidden in the tree leaves with a swing. They checked out the other garden areas and walked through the orchard where they shared their knowledge of each tree and when the fruit will be ready to harvest. The residents and the children shared many precious moments, laughter, conversations, and stories.
