Village Concepts of Auburn celebrated our 3rd National Night Out and the residents, staff and their families enjoyed a beautiful evening on our patio with delicious hotdogs, salads and best of all root beer floats to celebrate National Root Beer Floor Day! Erica, our amazing chef and her team did a wonderful job along with one of our residents Betty, who loves helping us at our events. The kids enjoyed meeting each other, playing games and of course running!
We were joined by three special guests from the City of Auburn. Sergeant Anderson from the Police Department, Drew Conley with Anti-Homelessness Outreach, and Devin Fritz, Solid Waste Specialist. All of them have a wealth of information and answered lots of questions about homelessness, improvements that have been made and are still being made, and our crime and drug rates.
Sergeant Anderson has many years of experience both in the military and on the police force and we plan to invite him back for a more in-depth presentation later this year as our residents have lots more questions! Devin Fritz will also be joining us for a presentation about recycling in the near future. We can all do better on this!
Every year we look forward to meeting the city representatives and recognizing the unique importance everyone has in making Auburn the special place it continues to be.
