We had an amazing day celebrating Mama Africa Day at Brannan Park with our residents and team members. It is said that Mama Africa's most valuable commodity is its people, whose spirit, ingenuity, and cultural wealth surpass its physical resources. We wholeheartedly agree! This spirit shines through every day in the care they provide, and their smiles light up the room!
The best part of the day was when team members from several African countries and regions shared their personal stories and cultures with the residents and family members. The most popular subject was hearing about their marriage customs, how they differed across regions and comparing them to American customs. Their textiles and colors are so vibrant and beautiful! Our dining staff provided a delicious lunch of authentic dishes that everyone enjoyed.
