Let's just say that the Brannan Park's 2nd Annual Picnic in the Park was a huge success! Our special guests this year starred the Kent Meridian Cheer Team, musical performer Mark Stern, and of course, our famous "resident", Thor the macaw bird.
The cheer team had a "Walker and Scooter Wash" which was a big hit with the residents. They were great helpers with all the families and residents throughout the picnic by making sure they had food, beverages and desserts. We were treated to a cheer performance and Thor posed with them for a team photo.
The residents loved the live music with Mark Stern, a crowd favorite who always gets everybody moving, dancing, and singing along to the rock 'n' roll music. The food was amazing! It was fun to see residents going back for second and even third helpings.Needless to say, everyone is anxiously awaiting next year's event.
