We celebrated Egypt's Revolution Day at Brannan Park with an authentic Egyptian luncheon that smelled, looked, and tasted delicious. Two special guests also joined us for a presentation on their recent Rhodes Scholar trip to Egypt for seniors. They said they did a lot of walking and had time for exploring on their own after dinner if they weren't too tired! They were amazed by how large the pyramids are and the intricacies and workmanship that went into building them so many centuries ago. Three of the days they traveled the Nile River at night and arrived at a new site each morning. Both shared that they would love to go again! They also shared many funny stories and pictures about their cabin steward and the creative scenes he made for them each evening in their cabin. Three Brannan Park residents had also visited Egypt, so they shared their experiences too. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon learning about Egypt!
