Gone Fishing with Park View Villas

PV photo

One fish in a barrel is worth two fish. At Park View Villas of Port Angeles, we want to fill up the entire barrel with fish! The team at Park View Villas loaded up our activity bus with fishing gear to head to the Port Angeles City Pier, which is located right in the heart of downtown. The pier offers ferry watching, concerts and world class fishing! A few brave residents took on the challenge of fishing for local salmon and rockfish, with staff happily assisting along the way!

With a few hours to get their lines in the water, our residents got a few nibbles but no bites. It didn't stop them from sharing a special experience in a breathtakingly beautiful location. As a cool breeze swept across the pier, keeping temperatures in the low 70's on a full sun day, the outing felt less about fishing and more about building relationships. Residents bonded on a picturesque day where time stood still as if summer would never end.

One of our residents, Sharon Pankey, was lucky enough to catch a local Dungeness Crab! Too little to take home, Sharon made sure this tiny crab went back to its home, returning the crab to the ocean waters. But not before we took a picture! The team at Park View Villas was able to build a special experience for our valued residents, where we aim to create a fun filled environment that embraces the outdoor amenities of the Olympic Peninsula. Thank you to all residents who participated, this was truly a memorable event!
