As America celebrates its bicentennial, the team at Park View Villas wanted to share this unique experience with our residents by taking part in the annual Port Angeles 4th of July parade! The Park View Villas team worked hard decorating our activity bus to show our appreciation to all who have made this nation so special. With Americana in full swing, all participants proudly represented our community at this important event. Port Angeles has truly played a large role in our nation's success.

In 1791 Spanish explorer Lt. Francisco Eliza sailed into our deep natural harbor, naming the city El Puerto de Nuestra Senora de los Angeles ("The Port of Our Lady of Angels"). We still use that city name today! Following the founding of our country, Port Angeles played a vital role in the American Civil War, stationing the North's Navy in its port and providing a safe haven for soldiers. Later, during World War II, Port Angeles was the first line of defense for America's West Coast. Camp Hayden protected the country from foreign invaders. Village Concepts like Port Angeles has also played a important role in American and Washington state history.

Founded in 1975, Village Concepts pioneered assisted living services in Washington state, helping set the foundation for multiple generations to come. Fifty-one years later, we are still strongly serving our community, providing outstanding care and service to all our residents. The dedication of Park View Villas and Village Concepts to the health and happiness of everyone in our community has created a one-of-a-kind experience for all of our residents. Thank you to everyone at Park View Villas for making this 4th of July a memorable experience for all! Happy 250 years!
