ISSAQUAH, Wash. — With just days away until the Seahawks take on the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship, the 12s all over the region are getting into the spirit.

For the silver fans, the excitement couldn’t come at a better time. Workers at the Spiritwood at Pine Lake, an assisted living facility in Issaquah, said January can be a depressing month for their residents with the end of the holidays, but the Seahawks spirit is now keeping them energized.

“Post holidays is always sort of a sad time or a letdown time with the post holidays blues, so this was the perfect time to infuse energy into the building,” said Tracy Willis with Village Concepts, Spiritwood’s parent company.

It’s why Willis said Thursday’s tailgate party was so important, especially getting a special visit from Wilson, the therapy pony.

“It’s kind of bringing the fun and the celebrations right to them,” said Sarah Kessler, Wilson’s owner.

Wilson continues to visit assisted living facilities and hospitals. Sunday, he plans to be at CenturyLink for the NFC Championship game, continuing to spread good cheer.
