It's beginning to look a lot like the holidays at Village Concepts Communities! A group of energetic residents at Village Concepts of Sedro-Woolley have an annual tradition of using their morning exercise class to "fluff" the branches of their 15 foot Christmas Tree that adorns the lobby. It's great exercise and a festive start to the season! 🎄#CreatingAVillage #assistedliving #seniorliving ... See MoreSee Less

Congratulations to Mel and Lynn on their wedding at Village Concepts of Marysville! This special couple met and fell in love at Grandview Village. Lynn was a resident ambassador when Mel moved in and Lynn invited him to sit at her table. They joked around and found they had a lot of things in common, including the foods they liked and disliked. The rest of the story is a love story! Mel is a member of the Salt Grass Band that plays monthly at Grandview. In his younger years, Mel, 79, played in a rock band and later turned to country music. “Music has been my entire life,” he says. Lynn moved from California to Grandview at 72 years young. She says that her faith has defined her. A few months ago she shared her faith with Mel and he accepted. One Sunday night after the showing of a movie in the activity room, the two stayed after everyone had left to discuss. Lynn reached over and kissed him. “Being the gentleman that I am, I kissed her back!” Mel says. In a month’s time they discovered they were in love. A couple of weeks later, they were talking and things got very quiet. ”A penny for your thoughts,” Mel offered.“Will you marry me?” Lynn asked.“Did you just ask me to marry you?“ Mel asked.“Yes.” Lynn said.“Yes!” Mel exclaimed. The couple wed at Grandview among friends and family. Congrats Lynn and Mel! 😍🥰 ... See MoreSee Less
